THE PROJECT

Up at the O2, one of London’s most recent tourist attractions, opened in summer 2012 ahead of the Olympic games. A fabric walkway takes ‘climbers’ on a journey over the roof of the former Millennium dome, now The O2. 53metres above ground, the climbers reach the viewing platform, offering a 360° view over London’s iconic sights. The platform is 12m diameter.

Climbers will be greeted in the experience zone on the ground, an experiential briefing journey. Visitors can learn everything about the venue itself but also will be provided with their roof suits, a climbing briefing and harnesses to be safely attached directly to the cable as they climb to the top.

In collaboration with AEG, The O2, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Bblur Architecture, ISG. pd3 to execute the customer experience.
